I was watching the Berry Eagles this morning around 7:20 a.m. It seems to me that the female is favoring her left foot. I made a short video of them. What do you think about it?
Great video patti...It's great that you took the time so we can get a good look. I hope she's not hurt and that with some rest and nest sitting, it heals up so she can teach her babies how to hunt! She's a beauty!!

I watched her a bit last night and she is definitely favoring it. But I don't think it is the actual foot? I noticed a white spot up above her "knee" on the inside of her leg when she is sitting up on the branch. Does anyone else see it? Or do you think it is the foot?

I agree.... can see that spot. I have seen her favor the leg. I sure hop she heals up OK

Everyone's been concerned about the female eagles foot/feet recently and finally a response from Berry College Eagle Experts (?) on facebook. This was their comment:
For all of you have been worried about the female eagle's foot: Dr. Carleton checked the video today and says she appears to have torn or broken two talons although she is managing just fine without them. If the nailbed is intact, the talons will re-grow.
