First eaglet was hatched March 31, and the second April 3. Both eaglets are thriving, and although I have not viewed this cam a large percentage of the day, I have seen no aggression between the siblings. Petra feeds the eaglets cooperatively, first one then the other. I do love this nest, because it is such a great example of a nest in the wild. There's only a remote cam, and the viewing is not up to par with the HD cams looking right into the nest that we've become accustomed to. But then again, how many natural golden eagle nests do we get to see?

Petra Feeds 2 Eaglets 04-
Petra and her Babies 04-1
Pre-school children have named the eaglets Fluffy and Goldy (Give them A for enthusiasm, F for originality??) Both eaglets are thriving, and food appears to be plentiful. Pin feathers are apparent now along the wing edges.
I have learned that Wolftree no longer owns the property. It is now owned by Deschutes Land Trust. The nest is on a cliffside above Whychus Creek in Whychus Canyon, which is just outside of Sisters Oregon.
