If I remember correctly, at the time it was reported that Patriot had exhibited an un-eagle like act and killed the two eaglets in the nest. It seems, in reading the timeline, an unknown eagle invaded the nest while Liberty was away briefly after Patriot disappeared. Maybe someone else remembers the incident and nest happenings and can report the story a bit better and more completely.
