Good morning, all! This is Jess, field biologist for the Owl Research Institute. We are so grateful for all of your awesome observations and questions, so keep them coming! We are intrigued by this nest as the female is using the same nest that was occupied two years ago, the first year of the live stream for those of you who followed. Even more interesting is this is the same female from last year's nest! In the Owl Research Institute's 29 year study of this species, we have only recorded female site fidelity a few times! The male is "new" this year.

The cam has been down for a few days but they are working on it. This morning I think it's live but it's very hard to figure out if you're watching "Live" or a recording because the cam will say Live when it's really not. It also says we can watch 24/7 but I'm not sure it has IR. Anyway, here's the snip I took.
