Saturday, February 14, 2015 Alcoa nest Broken Egg Unfortunately the first egg of the season did not survive the night in the nest. One of our viewers first reported seeing it broken just before 7am (Central Time) this morning. We had very high winds overnight including a weather service warning about the winds. It is possible the wind caused a misstep as the parent got up to roll the egg. Hopefully we will have one or two more eggs in the next few days. This is the Alcoa nest. Copied from FB.
