I JUST READ ABOUT THE INSULATING FACTOR OF SNOW AND THE FEATHERS ON AN EAGLE. AMAZING ... OUTER FEATHERS HELP BUT UNDERNEATH IS THE "DOWN" LIKE A DOWN COMFORTER. EGGS SHOULD BE JUST TOASTY IN THEIR BROOD PATCH! YAY!!!
